Community Recognition Project
Rexburg is Family: Community Recognition Project
Rexburg is not just America's Family Community,

When we think of Rexburg as a place and when we're asked to identify what makes Rexburg, Rexburg...our thoughts always go back to the same thing: you, the community! It's not the Tabernacle or the Romance, it's not the historic downtown or the Teton Dam Flood, it's not the schools or the water tower...there is no specific landmark that makes Rexburg a PLACE quite like the people; you, the community.
And we're so proud and thankful for that!

The City of Rexburg is looking to recognize citizens for their good deeds! Have you experienced or witnessed someone doing something nice for others in town? Perhaps you know a friend or family member who seems to be always giving back. We'd love to hear about them! Do you have a neighbor who always comes to check on you? That's amazing! Let us know about them here!
Everyone needs a little good in their life. Help us honor those whose good deeds often go without recognition.
We want to shed light on the people who help exemplify our community.
Spotlight on the Good!
Throughout 2024, we're looking for do-gooders in our community. If you want to nominate someone as a community member worthy of recognition, tell us about them here!
- All nominees must work, live, or provide service(s) in the City of Rexburg, Idaho.

Placemaking in Rexburg
When we think of Rexburg as a place, and when we're asked to identify what makes Rexburg, Rexburg...our thoughts always go back to the same thing. It's not the Tabernacle or the Romance, it's not the downtown, the schools, or the water tower...there is no one landmark or attraction that makes Rexburg a PLACE quite like...you - the PEOPLE! The community is what makes Rexburg, Rexburg!
And we're so proud and thankful for that!

Tell us your story!
As we enter a season of both thanks and giving, let us brighten the path with a message of hope. For the end of 2023, our goal is to shed light on the people who help make Rexburg feel like home.
We're looking to hear stories of community members who have assisted you or others locally with an act of kindness or service in 2023. We know Rexburg is full of kindness and heart. Have you experienced or witnessed someone doing something nice for others in town? Perhaps you know a friend or family member who leads a service project or is seemingly always giving back. Has someone gone above and beyond to help you in a time of need? A neighbor, a teacher, a student, a random act of kindness…we would love to hear all about it! Do you have a story to share? Tell us here or send us a message.
A sentence or an essay...we’re all ears!
This is an informal request, but we will be sharing these stories across Social Media throughout the end of the year to help share the stories of the atmosphere that we know lives and breathes in the Rexburg community.
- Photos are appreciated, but not necessary.
