If the City dedicated a green space to the members of the community, would you pitch in to help beautify and take care of it?
Would a garden club that would be responsible for maintaining the space interest you? This club might plant flowers, prune trees, and more to maintain and beautify the space.

They end up a mess. Not taken care of and forgotten. It would be better for the city to create a garden of flowers, fountains, and blooming trees for the citizens to enjoy a stroll through.

@Samuel Roundy: great question! The community gardens by the pool are rented plots folks can use as their own private growing plot. (Though it is a common misconception that those are public plots.)
Alternatively, this idea involves a garden space (and we do recognize the branding would need to separate the two) where community members would be invited to participate to grow and cultivate a shared green space.
